Online Poker and Me

I first heard of online poker from a friend who was already so hooked into online poker rooms. I've been playing poker, particularly Texas Hold'em, for quite some time now, and I enjoy playing live poker with friends a lot. So, I found it lame to play online poker, I thought live poker was much more exciting. In live poker, you can see your opponents' faces and reactions, which add to the thrill. Now, you can see the reason why I was so uninterested in online poker.

However, one day, when I had nothing else to do on the internet, I checked this poker website that my friend recommended. It's called ultimatebet.com. I wanted just to try a few games just to satisfy my friends. I found out that I had to download the program to be able to play in their online poker rooms. It was so frustrating because I thought it was so much hassle, and I was worried it would take a long time to download the online poker program and install it in my computer. However, I found myself mistaken when it took only about 7-10 minutes to download and install it. I was impressed.

Now, having installed the online poker program, I found myself worried at how to operate the game. I was just too eager to play online poker that impatience was getting the better of me. I looked at all the options and studied it for a while. Remember that it was my first time to see anything like that.

When I finally figured out what to do to be able to create an account and join online poker tables, which were relatively easy to do, I joined one of the free poker games. You could choose to play real money or the free games, but since I was new, I chose free one. When I was seated to the table, I asked, now what next? I was just seated, but I was not part of the game.

I remember that I did not take more time in reading instructions, so I was not able to read about joining the game. Luckily, the online poker room has chat, so I asked one of the online poker players at the table what to do next. Some guys helped me and told me everything I need to know. When I learned how to play online poker, I was so hooked that at first, I couldn't get up from my seat.

I'm very grateful to my friend who showed me the way to online poker. If not for him, I would not have this much fun.
